nato vs eu

• the nato isnt the eu, i think a lot of turks dont understand that they are mayor differences between this 2 organisations, the nato is military pact for defence, with usa,canada, most of europe and turkey, the eu on the contrary is an union with its own currency and equal standads of law,social standads, possibility of moving freely in the countries without visa etc.
  
  Its much more than just the Nato, so the requirements are much harder to fullfil for turkey, even when the armenian problem is solved, there are still the porblems with the cultural and political kurds autonomy, the recognition of south cyprus, because its an eu member, also the freedom of religion.
  
  All these problems have nothing to do with the nato, but all with eu.
  
  As long as they are not solved, turkey cannot enter the eu membership, or even join the euro.
