  • Algerians are surely not better integrated into French society than Turks are into German society. Just look at the riots in the banlieues.

    Hitler was more efficient in killing people, that is true. But Napoleon also killed a lot of people, you can't deny that. At least we've learned from our past. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who supports what Hitler did it Germany, but you'll find lots of people who aggrandize Napoleon in France to this day. WHY?

    Finally, I disagree with your concept of multiculturalism. If anybody immigrates to another country, whether it be Germany, the US, France, or any other place, they should try to become part of that society. That doesn't mean they should give up their cultural heritage. I value different cultural backgrounds and all that that brings to a society. But if they really don't like our society, as in teach their children we're the infidels, how can I accept that? Nobody forced them to come to our country. If
    it's so horrible, why don't they just go back?

    I'm not a xenophobe. I've lived in other countries myself. But I do expect a minimum level of adaptation from immigrants. I did the same when I abroad.
