Dear all,
from 1st of January 2008, Switzerland introduces a new foreign law. This foreign law is one of the most strict and taffest in Europe. In any case, it is quite difficult or even impossible to get a residence permit if you are not from EU/EFTA-country.
Only if you are a very high-skilled professional or a scientist, which has recommendation of Swiss University or company, then your chances are not that bad.
In any case else, even if you have enough financial means or relatives in Switzerland, it is very difficult to get even Visa for some short stay. Main criteria for rejecting foreigners is the so called "insurance of back journey", which means, that it must bet OBJECTIVLEY almost sure that you will leave the country after your stay (education or job). It is not enough that you ensure it, it is only then fulfilled, if the objective criterias are assuming that you will leave the country. So for most third World Country citizen, it is almost impossible to get a visa; only if you are very rich or are very talented, then you have a chance.Immigration Specialist 29 déc 2007, 12:30 - Signaler un abus
