Like I said, St. George's Day is not celebrated to the extent that St. Patrick's Day is. Some people might put up a flag or have a few beers in the local pub, but that's about it, really. There's the odd parade, here and there, but it's pretty low key, in general.
The overwhelming majority of Muslims do not care whether it's celebrated, or not. They've never really been accepted in Britain by the white majority, so they don't really associate themselves with the idea of 'Britishness', and why should they? There may be a few Muslims who don't like St. Georges Day because certain individuals use it as an excuse to be openly racist.Dylan 04 abr 2009, 07:40 - Denunciar
