WiFi
-
I've been in Oman three years now. I use broadband wherever I go using my Nawras wireless connection. It isn't cheap but it's so convenient. The modem costs 60RO initially and I pay 29RO monthly for my service (there are cheaper packages but I use it a lot). But it's worth it for my Internet. It's fast. WiFi is available all over the place--at my place of employment, every coffeeshop imaginable, you name it. Oman has been behind the times, but it's trying. For a developing country, it deserves some credit. As far as ADSL is concerned, the waiting list is long. This is because of the number of expats here demanding it. If you request it during the summer, you have a better chance of getting it (when expats are on holiday).
Just some friendly advice.Been here, done that. 23 Oct 2008, 01:27 - Report
