From a pet-owner in Kuwait
-
We have a dog and two cats and know quite a few other pet-owners here, but having pets, especially dogs, does definitely restrict your rental options in Kuwait - Salmiya and Salwa are probably your best bets for pet-friendly landlords, other posters may be able to name other areas. Also, dogs are still considered as 'haram' and dirty animals by many people (though less so than was once the case, I believe), and you have to keep them on the lead at all times - though we take our dog down to the beach out of town late at night to let him run around free a bit (and if you're thinking of taking them out to the desert, think again, there are still unexploded landmines around from 1990). There are a few parks and grassy areas - though you'll have to use the pooper-scooper at all times and get used to kids and teenagers everywhere 'barking' at the dogs, which seems to be a local joke, they're not generally hostile though and many come up and pet our dog. You'll also have to get used to the furnace-like summer heat come April/May, which may restrict the walkies a bit! Contact me on [email removed] if you want to ask any other questions.
