Hotels vs Hostels vs B&Bs and Apartments

Hotels in Italy are relatively easy to find. I think Venere is a nice site to search for accommodation. It has listings from luxury hotels, to the cheap ones.
Hostels of course are the temples for backpackers. They offer cheap and affordable stays, with a nice traveler crowd as well. Hostels.com I think is where you can find it.
Bed and breakfasts and Apartments are also a nice and more personal way in Staying in Italy. Try this list of Italian Vacation Apartments here if you want.
