• Christina, as long as you are careful in avoiding badly lit/lonely areas you should be fine. Be advised that although it is still a fairly safe place as far as the locals are concerned there is increasing criminal activity from tourists and also army personnel stationed as the bases who have been known to rape both local women as well as female tourists. I think as long as you take the normal sensible precautions you would take anywhere you will be ok. Stay safe!
