resident visa for wife of european citizen

• Hi,
  My wife is not european, and has a permanent visa in the uk, having worked here for 10 years. I am french and working in the uk at the moment. If we leave to work a few years abroad, and then come back to the uk, what will be the papers my wife has to do to come to the uk ? Can she keep her permanent visa ?
