Weights & Measures

• Can someone explain what the non-metric weights and measures mean? + would be fascinated if anyone knew about their origins, e.g. the stone as a measurement of weight.

  The old measures are all related to normal stuff (ie a foot is the length of a foot) and a stone seems to be more mysterious
