How do I get 6 months in Spain?

• Hi,
  
  is there anyway to stay in spain for 6 months on a tourist visa? Like 3 months and then extend for another 3.
  
  I'm Australian with my wife and child and want to live in Spain for 6 months. I have an internet business so concerns about work or money.
  
  Or is there another visa that would suit?
