Early years teacher In Qatar or Dubai

Work in pre-school, nursery and reception classes with children aged between three and five. They are responsible for developing and implementing work schemes and lesson plans in line with the requirements of the foundation stage. This involves organizing and developing the nursery learning environment and resources in order to facilitate learning.
Foster the understanding, social and communication skills of the children. They develop and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support pupils. Record observations and summaries the children's achievements. They focus on optimum child development and preparation for a successful transition to primary school education.
Typical work activities:
Teach all areas of the foundation stage, which is focused on helping the children to achieve early learning goals. Typical activities include:
1. motivating and stimulating the children's learning abilities, often using play activities interacting with and supporting children, providing them with a secure environment to learn
2. devising and producing visual aids and teaching resources
3. organizing learning materials and resources, and making imaginative use of resources
4. assisting with the development of children's personal/social and language abilities
5. supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical co-ordination, speech and communication
6. encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
7. developing children's curiosity and knowledge
8. working with others to plan and coordinate work
9. sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents
10. observing, assessing and recording each child's progress
11. attending in-service training
12. ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery/school
13. Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
14. Some early years/nursery teachers will make home visits prior to a child starting nursery/school and, where appropriate, might also visit providers of pre-school care, such as day nurseries
