I was on a work permit now on a spouce visa-- Imp Queries

• Hello,
  
  My queries are as follows
  
  1. I have been in the uk since 2001 but on a student visa
  2. then i was on awork permit since 2004 uptil 2007 .
  3. then got married in aug 2007
  4. my husband is a british citizen.
  5. He got offered a better job in Dubai so we came to dubai Aug 2008 last week.
  
  Questions I have are :--
  
  How long can I remain outside Uk?
  Which is legally acceptable?
  I am on a house wife visa in dubai.
