  • UK Fiancé visa success story in 12 working days

    Hello readers

I am putting down my story for others to read as I believe it could be helpful to those who plan to embark down the UK fiancé visa route. I’ll try and be as brief as possible.
Background – 27 Indian male applying for fiancé visa for getting married to a 25 UK citizen – permanently residing in the U.K. Relationship – long distance for 13 months, previously I had been in the U.K. on a student visa followed by a 2 year FTI (Fresh Talent Initiative) visa. Total time in the UK 3.5 years, left UK July 2007, applied for fiancé visa August 2008.
I recently put my application in for the Fiancé visa or Settlement form to move to the U.K. I put the application together myself. Here is what I included
The 2 most important parts as I see it
    1. Evidence of financial strength of sponsor (UK citizen) to support the primary applicant through the duration of his fiancé visa (6 months)
    2. Evidence of relationship

    1. We showed 6 month original bank statements of the sponsor. The sponsor had changed jobs and was only 1 month into her new job i.e. probation, at the time of application. I showed my 5 months bank statement as I too was on probation as I had taken up a new job. We both tried to show as much funds as possible to show that I could support myself if need be without using the sponsors funds and also that we have some money for the wedding.
    2. We included the receipt for the wedding venue booked - Strong point
    3. A sample of our printed wedding card.
    4. Photographs from our time in the U.K. and 2 other countries where ,my fiancé had visited me while I was out of the U.K. – Strong point
    5. About 6 months telephone bills.
    6. Copy of our employment contracts and pay slips, passports, the sponsors house and vehicle ownership papers – (helped) , approval for of stay for sponsor and myself (helped) , letter of undertaking by sponsor for myself (mandatory) , my UK degree certificate, letter of approval from the minister who will be marrying us in the U.K. – (helped).
We were quite meticulous in our paperwork and organized our documents well with an index for the supporting documents. We wanted our application to be as easy as possible during assessing time. If anyone has any queries, I would be happy to help.

  • can you help??

    Hi

I am having problems regarding my wifes visa application, I am British 24ysr and my wife Indian I visited India in 2001 where I first met my wife we fell in love, I returned in April 2008 toIndia in April 08 and we decided to get married. I returned to UK the following month due to work commitments leaving my wife behind.
From the UK & India we filled out all the relevant forms and photos and sent them over to her, she went to the BHC in Mumbai where she was told to leave her paperwork and photos but a woman at the desk had told her to take the photos back as they are no use and she was told to come back the following week, when she went back she was told her visa application had been refused on the grounds that there was no evidence showing that I was in India at the time of marriage, she argued that in fact we had all the proof on the day but the woman turned her away still nothing was done. She was told to reapply in ten days.
We reapplied in ten days an she was told to leave her file and ring the office in 7 days, she called she office on the 7th day and she was told to check online at the VFS website to see if her application has been accepted or ring back in three days, since then we have checked the site everyday and she has rang them numerous time but they keep giving the same answers
Can someone please give me some advice to what we can do?
I can mail you if you prefer.

    Thanks

  • Payslips of sponsor...will 3-4 months suffice?

My English fiance moved back to England five months ago, hence has only four months payslips instead of six. We have every other requirement fulfilled except this. Would it be too risky to apply for a Fiance Visa now or should we wait a couple of months to get it upto six and then do it?
