How long does medical take b4 reching the embassy...

• I have applied as a temporary worker and where I am living at the moment I have 2-3months visa remaining.Is it true that the medicals might take 4-6 wks to reach the Embassy?If the results will not be in by end Nov. then I´m done.
  I would like to hear mostly from a live in caregiver whose gone thro´ the whole process but also all other opinions are welcome.
