Payphones are owned by Cyta and can be found everywhere on the island. National and international calls can be made from all three types of public phones; coin phones, indoor and outdoor card phones. Calling cards can be used from the majority of public payphones. Instructions will be displayed inside of the booth.
If you are planning to use your foreign mobile in Cyprus you may want to think twice before doing so- be aware that roaming fees can quickly add up to thousands of Euros!
If you want to use your foreign handset, buy a pay as you go SIM card to go with it. With a national SIM card, you can receive international calls for free. So, don't worry about your bills, worry about the person's that is calling you!
