Car Insurance in Portugal
I understand that Portugese cars are insured rather than the individual driver - so in theory anybody can drive with the owners permission.
I also understand that premiums are much lower (they dont rip people off in Portugal like they do in the UK).
I think an average family car is around 100 Euros a year to insure. Road Tax (or Financas) is also much lower, about 35 Euros for the year.
So let me see 135 Euros is £100 a year for my car in Portugal and in the UK £600, why am I still here?????Nicktw 15 Sep 2008, 12:53 - Report -
Car Insurance in Portugal
Cannot agree. My Fiat Punto 2001 costs €400 to insure (max. no claims) and Road Tax depends on the year of manufacture & engine capacity.
