Salaries in Oman

I have just recieved a job offer from an integrated marketing company that is setting up in Oman, however we haven't disucssed salary yet. Is it true that companies in Oman pay as much or more that companies in the West? What would be a decent salary for a senior position?

Hi I am in a similar position. However, I am a fresh graduate! As far as I know or understood that all salaries are negotiable- baring in mind that you are an expat, you should have additional allowancelike housing ,car allowence, annual return ticket to home country, possibly schooling for children if your in a senior position etc.. on top of your basic salary. I am personally converting the salary I would like in Pounds to OMR....
