The hospital was the first one in private sector to start Open - Heart Surgery programme in Delhi in February 1987 in collaboration with Buffalo General Hospital, New York, when our cardiac surgery team performed heart surgeries along with Dr. J.C. Bhayana, renowned Indian Cardiac surgeon in the United States. Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre also has three ultra modern Cath labs and a Three-D anatomical and electrical mapping system called Cardiac Mapping System (CARTO) which is used to identify abnormal circuits of the heart and helps to treat and cure the patients.

Its Cancer Centre is equipped with linear accelerator Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) to deliver higher doses of radiation therapy with utmost precision, ALYCON-II isocentric Cobalt-60 telepathic machine & Brachytherapy facilities. Its surgical unit handles all complicated cancer surgeries thanks to a dedicated OT complex, good anesthesia and postoperative intensive care backup.

The department of Neurology at Batra Hospital handles acute and chronic neurological patients. The department of Neurosurgery has dedicated state-of–the-art operating microscope and carries out all complicated Neuro-surgical operations. It has a comprehensive trauma centre that handles poly- trauma cases and is backed by an ICU fully equipped with sophisticated monitoring devices, ventilators and well-trained para-medical staff.

The hospital has a specially equipped Paediatric Cardiac Unit to handle complicated Paediatric and neo-natal surgery cases. The hospital’s Nephrology Unit is equipped with sophisticated medicare techniques, operation theatres and intensive care facilities to extend latest Renal Treatment. Nuclear Medicine: - State-of-the-art, ADAC dual head SPECT camera system and Gamma Camera to perform spect, wholebody and planner studies with perfection.
Up-gradation of Blood Bank: - The 24 hour blood bank has acquired Cell Separator, Elisa Walk away etc., making it one of the most advanced blood banks in Delhi.
Evening OPD: - Batra Hospital has started evening OPDs as desired by many of our institutional clients, which was much needed for working personnel.

West end Centre: In order to provide our quality service at the doorstep of the residents of West Delhi, we have come up with our West End Centre which is a 30 bedded facility at A – 1/6, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. It is now providing specialties such as Cardiology, Oncology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Urology, E.N.T & Internal Medicine to name a few all under one roof. The Cardiology wing is equipped with a flat panel Cath Lab and a sophisticated 5 bedded ICCU, which ensures minimal radiation to patient and other supportive round the clock services. Day care facilities are also available to minimize the cost of treatment. The entire backup of services and specialties at the main hospital is available on call to this centre.
