My name is Nilutpol Borah. I am currently pursuing a one year full

At Usha Shriram Piston & Rings, I was primarily responsible for
Process Quality. I was responsible for Process Capability Study and
Analysis using SPC, SQC, and Six Sigma Techniques. I shouldered the

complaints of OEM’s using various QC tools. Also I was assigned
various Industrial Engineering projects related to cost, productivity,
quality, rejection and manpower. I managed one direct report and 30
indirect reports and reported to Head-Piston Ring Business Unit. Here
I learnt about Process Engineering and Quality concepts and various
systems like TS-16949, TPM, QS-9000,ISO 9001,ISO 14000.
After this preliminary experience in Process Quality and Engineering I
decided to move on to Learning and Managing the Quality aspects of a
two wheeler in Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India. My responsibilities
included the Quality Assurance & Control of Scooter
(Active/Dio/Eterno) Business Unit. I undertook the Root Cause Analysis

reported to Head-Assembly Business Unit. Here I gradually evolved into
a Quality leader with added skills of Project Management and Plant
Expansion.
My last assignment before joining IMI-Delhi was with Maruti Suzuki
India Ltd. I was responsible for the Strategic Operations of Alto &
Zen Business Unit. I ensured maximum profitability and full
production levels were met with; while simultaneously performing
safety, quality, cost, and inventory management within operating
budget constraints. I Formulated, Planned, Executed and Monitored key
Organizational targets of Customer complaints, Warranty Claims, Direct
Pass Rate and Global Customer Audit. Also I undertook various cross
functional projects related to Productivity, Quality, Safety and
Employee Welfare. I managed 12 direct reports and 180 indirect reports
and reported to GM- Alto & Zen Business Unit. This proved to be an
important building block of my career and groomed my managerial
capacity as an Operations Lead. This was coupled with my prior
knowledge of Quality, Process Engineering, Systems, Plant Expansion
and New Model Development.
Here at IMI, I am getting firsthand knowledge about the holistic role
of a Marketing Manager with a background in Manufacturing. With
credits in courses like Rural Marketing, Retail Marketing, Integrated
I had a few queries in Mind
1) How relevant is this course for me?
2) Will it add any extra value addition to my academics since the
course curriculum is more of a general MBA which I'am pursuing
anyways?
3) What are the job opportunities after this course?
4) Whats are the prospects of returning back to India.?
5) what would be the total expenditure?
6) What is the Ranking of this university & the course?
I would be really thankful if you advise me like a younger brother
rather than a brand ambassador of the college and the course.
Also please mail me any chat ID that you have so that I could have an
indept discussion with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely,
Nilutpol Borah
