Women Running/Cycling

• Hello,
  
  I'm a Runner and looking to move to Kuwait for a year or two for work. I have also begun to cycle both for commuting and fitness. Cycling and running is how I familiarize myself to my environment (i love the outdoors). I currently live in Canada but am concerned that I will not be able to run or cycle in the heat without stripping down a little. I understand I have to keep my shoulders and knees covered. this may be a a little uncomfortable.
  Is it safe for a woman to run or cycle (1-2 hours) alone? Oh would tights be an issue -it's what i wear cycling. Does it matter waht time of the day I go running/ cycling alone?

  I'm a Canadian Kuwaiti man, I Kept moving from Kuwait to Canada and vise versa, one thing is for sure, you can cycle in Kuwait with a bear shoulders and knees, no worry what so ever it is very safe, you will understand what i mean when you see the modern girls and what staff they are wearing.

  I have located a "mountain biking group" but no road racing group yet. They do have bike shops and buying in country may be an option. I am going to bring mine along.

  Any female runners? I am also moving to Kuwait in the fall, and I am an avid runner/marathoner (though very slow). I'd hate to stop running now that I've really gotten in to it.

  We are moving from the US most likely in Sept. I run slow, but I run several marathons a year (run/walk). I have heard (from a friend in Saudi) that people do run in Kuwait, so i'm hoping that finding other runners will be relatively easy--as well as survive running in the heat.
