citizenship

• i want to try and become a japanese citizen. i´ve lived here for a long time and speak fluent japanese, teach at a japanese school, etc. everything i heard makes it sound pretty intimidating? anyone have personal experiences they want to share?

• take it slow

  i found it to be a long process. i applied after five years because my wife is japanese, it took about a year to get everything together and then a few more months to get approved. you have got to be really patient mostly and check ALL the requirements (a couple times) before you start
