Investing opinions

All right. So I know that most people might be annoyed by a question like this, but I have not done too bad in the recession and I have some money to invest. I´m thinking of getting into international real estate and Japan´s property values are so high that I think it might be a good move. I´m thinking of buying some property outside a major city. Not sure what I want to do with it. if I don´t develop (or alter it), is the property itself a good investment? I want to be able to sell it in ten years for a profit if possible

Careful
I would be careful. Prices are high but if you look over time you´ll see that property values aren´t really increasing. If you invest make sure you´re in it for the loooooooong haul.
