  Ich habe 2 Jahre in Griechenland/Kreta gelebt und als EU Bürger muß man keine Arbeitserlaubnis oder Aufenthaltserlaubnis beantrage.
  Das einzigste was man braucht ist eine Steuernummer die man auf dem Steueramt beantragt.
  Das gleiche für die Rentennummer die muß man bei der IKA beantragen.

  Ich lebe auch in Griechenland auf Rhodos. Es ist richtig das hier viele so leben wie oben angegeben, da nicht groß nachgefragt wird ob man gemeldet ist. Fakt aber ist das weder die Steuernummer noch das IKA Buch etwas mit der Aufenthaltsgenehmigung zu tun hat. Sondern anmelden muß man sich bei der zuständigen Polizei mit den Unterlagen anmelden. Dort wird überprüft ob man arbeitet oder Einkommen hat um hier zu leben ohne dem Staat zur Last zu fallen, dann bekommt man seine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung. Ansonsten lebt man hier trotz Steuernummer und Versicherung illegal.

  I live also in Greece on Rhodos. It is correctly that here many in such a way lives as indicated above, since is not largely inquired whether one is announced. Fact however is neither the tax number nor the IKA book something with the residence permit to do has. Separates to announce must one at the responsible police with the documents register. There examined whether one works or incomes over here has to live without the state to the load to fall, then one gets its residence permit. Otherwise one lives here despite tax number and insurance illegaly.
