H.I.S. is an IB World School offering high quality international education for students aged 4-18. The school is authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate.
At Heidelberg International School, your child will experience a caring school community, an experienced international staff and a diverse environment, with approximately 35 countries represented at the school.
Currently the countries that are represented by the largest numbers of students are the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom and India.
The majority of the students speak English and many are in fact bilingual or trilingual. In addition, your child will have excellent opportunities to learn German, as the language is taught at all levels, from "German as an Additional Language" to "Advanced German". Spanish is also available in grades 6-10.
Students can be admitted to the PYP and MYP at any time during the school year.
