Wants to work in Germany

  • I'm in publishing industry. I'm proficient in English and Mandarin.

What are the chances of working in Germany armed with these skills?

  • no way..

English is standard .. it is suppoused that all the people in a midle and high level (university or master or doctor degree) speak english.. so i do not think it could be a help if you are not german.. Mandarin.. it is depending of your speciality here are many many Chinese students that speak english and german and they have a german title..

  • hello again Eugene

with German it would be easier !..

i have to say that it is not to easy to learn german, at least to me ..(it took me aprox. 2 or 3 years to speak a good german), beside it i speak another 2 lenguages too, but it was not to easy to make the geman companies to believe in me .. i had to make some practices and finally i got a real job (after 5 years).

    i wish you "Viel Glück !!" !

  • For Sue

Sue, if you have been able to learn and speak a 'good german' in just 2 or 3 years, it means that german is very easy. I have had to study English for more than 8 years and it is impossible to speak absolutely perfect.
I had heard that german was harder form far.
