Residency permit

Does anyone know if I need a titre de sejour or carte de sejour being British and married to an American. We are both now residing in the USA and moving to France? Hilary

CEE
I am not a real expert but I think that, since the UK doesn't belong to Schengen territory, you need a carte de séjour (not a visa). Even european CEE 25 states citizens need a permit to live in France. Anyway, for you and your wife it will not be as hard to obtain as it is for a non CEE citizen. You should adresse yourself to the nearest French Diplomatic Office anyway.
