How do you greet somebody in Denmark?
-
I'm going to Denmark soon and just wondered how you greet people there? I'm not talking about people at work but in your free time. With a handshake? Or kisses on the cheeks? Or a hug??
I have totally no idea!!
Can somebody help me?!?!06 Mar 2009, 05:25 Confused by Danish customs

Danish greeting
Not more than a hug. Kissing is too personal.

greeting
If it's the first time you shake hands with people. If you've met someone a few times just greet them by saying "hej" which means hey. If you're friends then you can hug - but never kisses.
