Retire to Cyprus

• I wish to sell up in England, buy a property in Cyprus and apply for category F permanent residence. I don't think this would be a problem for me and the wife assuming I can provide financial evidence to show I can support myself. My problem would be my son who would like to come too, and although I would support him temporarily as a dependant he would want to become self employed and should come under category D . Is this possible???
