Waiting game for the Canadian citizenship
-
After having lived in Canada for over 5 years, I decided to apply for the Canadian Passport. The process started over 18 months ago and still I have not been called to do my citizenship exam.
Who can I write to find out the status of my application. I am quite tired of not getting beyond an online system that tells me that my application is in "progress". I do not see any progress!

contact your MP

Use the link above to find the name, office number and email of your member of parliament. MPs have a team who handles issues regarding immigration and citizenship applications. Contacting them may help you see what is the status of your application, however do not expect a favour or anything like that.
I did that with my MP and in about two weeks got a fairly detailed response regarding the status of my citizenship application. Note that you will need to give your full name, date and place of birth, contact information and the application/process reference number.
I hope this helps
