Driver's License
-
I will arrive to Canada to live for 3 years on a contract as an expat. I am an American Citizen. Do I need to go through the painstaking process of getting a Canadian Driver's License? I have been a licensed driver in Massachusetts for over 20 years.

converting an american into a Canadian Driver's license
if you had a general motor vehicle (up to 3,500 Kg) driver's license from the united states for more than 2 years (it must be said in the driver's license itself) you can simply go to the Provincial Motor Vehicle Registration Office and get a swap for a Canadian Driver's License. You may be exempt of taking any exams and may get your license on the spot. You will have to pay the corresponding fees and finally, you will have to surrender your Massachusetts driver’s license
