Volatage/Frequency in Canada

What are the voltage and frequency for electric appliances in Canada? Is that 110V/60Hz like in the USA?
Also, if I have a telephone handset bought in Europe, would it work plugged in the telephone network in Canada?

voltage of telephone lines
in Canada the voltage of your telephone line is up to 48V DC. It usually lingers around 5V and when you get connected or it "rings", the voltage spikes to 40V- 48V
