Cable Modem vs. DSL

• What is the real difference? They are priced the same here in Ottawa, Toronto, even in Halifax!
  
  Who measures what is better for consumers, they seem pretty much the same.

  it depends on where you live. If you are in the suburbs chances are good that you are stuck with cable modem. In the city you may be better off with DSL.
  
  if you know somebody in the cable or phone company, ask them to find out what is the sync. speed at your location.
