Response To Djinghis

• Djinghis, I'm an English woman who's managing a bar/restaurant in sunny beach and i can honestly say that i will never come back here again. I've travelled the world and worked in over 20 countries both inside and outside of the EU and not once have i been to a place as corrupt as Bulgaria. I have to pay the police money to be allowed to have music in my bar, (which is NOT a legal requirement)if i dont pay, my bar is closed down and my customers are beaten. I have evidence and witnesses of this occuring but obviously - who do i take them to???!?!? Not the police as they're the ones beating innocent people. Ive watched an Irish tourist hand over 200 bulgarian levs to the police because he fell over and and broke a glass, and then they beat him up anyway!! Not in the middle of the street, always on back streets. I'm an open-minded woman and i come from the town with the highest gun crime in europe so i'm not "naive to the world" or "easily offended". The reason that bulgaria has one of the lowest crime rates in the EU is because the police wont let you report anything and if they do, then you have to pay them to make a report - not very easy to do when youve just been mugged!!!
