Opening a bank account - international banks in Bulgaria

Hello!
Can anyone tell me what I need to get a bank account in Bulgaria? What kind of documents - passport, residence permit, income statement etc?
Also, are there international banks in Bulgaria and if so, are they generally better than the local ones?
