First British man born in Bahrain
-
My father was stationed in in Bahrain in 1959 with the Royal Navy. My mother joined him, pregnant with me, and subsequently gave birth whilst in the country. I was born in the Bahrain Government Hospital, Manama February 1959 and was, as far as I remember, the first British baby to be born in Bahrain (this may or may not be fact, both my parents are deceased).
I should like to travel to work in Bahrain and wondered if my having been born there influences the Visa and permits requirements. I am a 3D computer model and visualiser specialist working in architecture, engineering and media using 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere to produce precision models, photoreal imagery and animations.
If anyone might shed a little illumination on the ramifications of my having arrived in this world in Manama, I should be very grateful. Kind regards15 Aug 2007, 11:22 Patrick Smith
