advice needed

• i was hoping someone could give me some advice on residency in france, i have been looking up information on gettin a residency card(carte de sèjour) and all the requirements to do so. but i have a few questions :
  how would i give proof of where im living if i am staying with my partner, but not currently working, so i am unable to pay for bills?
