  • Deutsche Bahn..

This is a very bizarre story. Most German media is reporting over DB's spying on its employees to stop corruption. The public is outraged over what DB has done. But very little is said about the corruption itself. I have lived in several countries and I can only imagine this happening in Germany. It's like DB employees are little children who always steal things, they are little children so they can't help themselves. But their parents should NEVER shout at them or hit them. That would be very mean to the little children.

  • Anyone can do a list

Georg, my point is that your culture would not be what it is without the Jewish contribution. Had many of those people been born in Nazi era they would have been murdered and German culture would be all the poorer for it. Jewish blood is everywhere in Germany. Most of the Gemans who left for the USA in the 19th century were either Jewish German or Polish German (prussian connection). Naturally, enough they hate you guys and were only too happy to become American, change their names, fight and kill you in both world wars.

  • Here is little history for you too, you German Mud-bloods.

The Jewish presence in Germany is older than Christianity; the first Jewish population came with the Romans to the city Cologne. A "Golden Age" in the first millennium saw the emergence of the Ashkenazi Jews, while the persecution and expulsion that followed the Crusades led to the creation of Yiddish and an overall shift eastwards. A change of status in the late Renaissance Era, combined with the Jewish Enlightenment – the Haskalah, meant that by the 1920s Germany had one of the most integrated Jewish populations in Europe, contributing prominently to German culture and society. The vast majority either left the country or were murdered in the Holocaust.
Also note that the idea of German nationality is rather broad, due to the many Germanic tribes, Jewish assimilation into Germany, and separate German ruled states through the history of Europe. Therefore, the same set of people could at times be referred to as Germans, Jews, or German Jews alike.

    Your English is a mess.
    Your argument is a joke.
And, you contradict much of what your buddies argue, about German contributions to American society.

Furthermore there is significant difference between the muscle power provided by Slaves and the cognitive ability of the well educated Jews, who formed part of your culture for a 1000 years.

Also, I am not Israeli (Just well read). So just keep on guessing!

Regarding; the crying and self-victimization mantra -- Is n't that what you krauts are doing by hijacking what is essentially a site for English speakers. You just can't tolerate others speaking badly about the 'Fatherland' and so in good old 'Goebbels' fashion you want to control their thoughts. Haha ha, I don't think that's going to happen because we have trussed you up firmly behind your own borders.

  • Does Germany really suck ?

As a born German I must admit that my views might be of limited interest to those who are in doubt.

Living since more than 10 years abroad - I do though have an ok "outside" look at the whole subject.

There is for sure no problem to show anyone around in Germany for 3/4 weeks - and make anyone hate Germany for good reasons - and it is absolute possible to make the different trip, ending with a very different result.

Germany has a population of ca. 80 million people - and 80 million means also in normal statistical reading a lot of people who do not really come across as very warm, friendly, open or welcoming.

And it is true that Germany, and so the people living there has a heritage to deal with, beside of the fact that it is commonly known that the overall attitude is not comparable with the one you will find in the south of Europe. Germans have never been known for being extremely outgoing - except you meet them in the terror-spots where alcohol makes brothers and sister.

Germany is a land of plenty - when one is able to enjoy the language - because the average knowledge of English isn't as developed as in many other countries.

Germany has a lot of culture, some very beautiful landscape, interesting cities - and a very developed infrastructure in many areas.

There are living quite a lot of very bright people in many parts - and there is a large number of people who feel left behind, and they tend to react accordingly.

There is no point in trying to paint a picture of a land of chances for everyone - but it is not worse than many other countries around.
Friends of mine have been working in the Netherlands - and had really trouble to get into something more than the usual beer after work on Fridays.

Point is also - it has never been cool to be a German during the recent 60 years - let's not forget that having a German passport comes with a package, even today...

There are for sure countries easier to live and work than Germany - and there are countries for sure worse than Germany when not being born there.

Main point is to really stop to just repeat the same old bullshit again and again - all of us moving to a different country know that it is us who have to see how to fit in - depending of how much we really want to fit in.

I have friends from all parts of the world - the idea that I should dislike any of them because of their passport is somewhat idiotic - same as it is stupid to declare every American a blood sucking Moslembasher - this thinking in categories doesn't lead anywhere.
All one can - and to my mind should do is to threat people according to your own expectations - and than suddenly get something different than just a passport-holder.

Looking atthe room for improvement all overthe place, as in Germany - it is hard to understand that we find so hard to go that way......

I agree. They are primitive, selfish, big-mouthed and narrow-minded, and their social behaviour is sick ("ich helfe nur denen die ich kenne", much mobbing). When you talk to them they always behave as when they were better than you. "Spiesser" is the mainstream. Germans, don't forget that Hitler was self-confident too.

I've been here for 20 years and have to say from the bottom of my heart that germany sucks. The people are mostly assholes who do not know how to wait in line, egoists, big mouths..... but no balls when it comes down to it. The typical german thinks that the car makes the man, but also take notice, when there is a disagreement, he will be quick to roll up the windows and lock the doors. For a german, it is important that the doors have a lock! Sad, but true. Big mouths, nothing behind those mouths. Funny to watch though.....

Some things never change. I enjoy watching them showing what idiots they are, and they do it with passion. Just sit back and have a laugh. I think sometimes that's why they are here, for the rest of us to have a laugh. I fail to come up with any other solution. Don't take them serious, that would be the first step to suicide, just watch and enjoy, and be happy that just maybe, with luck, you and your children are not the same as they are. • Demanding

I am an adult, not a schoolboy, and I am more or less stuck here because of work. Germans mostly seem nice on the outside but soon you find they are often very emotionally demanding. A lot of the people I know seem to want sort of formal confirmation of friendship all the time, they don't see it in my behaviour at all I think. It's like I should give them a secret handshake or something on departing. Others are completely over the top - a woman I knew for a couple of years wanted me to move to her town. She is just a friend, no sex etc but she just thought it would be good if I found a flat in her town and moved there. She didn't ask me, she just sort of said it would be a good idea. Peculiar. It's hard to know if Germans are really different or not, they are sort of living in their own world somehow. Maybe it's the language.

The Mehdorn "scandal" has been bizarre. The German media have whipped up a populist storm about the poor people who had the bank accounts "raped" by DB. But nothing about the DB employees who steal money (even an entire locomotive) from their employer. In the english-speaking world and most the rest of the world little children lean that it is wrong to steal, and you might get punished, and it's your fault if you steal - not the people you stole from. But apparently, these Germans are victims, so they don't need morals.

  • German Mentality

Like I said before, just watch the Germans and let them amuse you. Important is... do not identify with them, keep your distance, but smile. Don't let their handshakes steer you off course... a handshake in Germany means nothing. You may be the next to get sidewalled. From experience, don't trust them. They are a very strange people. 20 years has confirmed that for me. One thing in life that does not lie is experience, it is there, it happened, and it is very personal. I could write novels about the Germans, of course not in their favour,... always smile and be polite, but keep your distance. Never trust a German, they would rather call the cops than go to bed knowing their own brother or sister smokes pot. It's not their fault as individuals, it's handed down from the government, and driven into their skulls, and Germans being as they are..... need a leader, need rules, need someone to show them the way,... being small and narrow minded as they are, would not hesitate to cause you problems. Be friendly, but keep a distance. Germans are not to be trusted, never. They would sell their own mother if they thought it would give them some advantage. Experience does not lie, it just drives the sad facts home,.. Been there... got the T-Shirt.. and it sucks. Today? I let them amuse me, and keep my distance. When a German offers me his hand,.. I always ask him why. That kind of throws them off course. Never let them get you down, when you do that,... in effect you are going down to their level. That is in itself absurd. Put up your guard, fend them off, they are not offering you anything good. Gather experience, and build your judgment, be objective, be fair, and I'll bet that you leave this country. Nothing has changed here since the days of WW2, they smile, they try to put it behind them, but little has changed. Germans are afraid or the government and the police. They will do exactly as told, they are spinless. They need a leader today, as much as they needed a leader 70 years ago. Observe them and come to your own conclusion.

I usually reserve shaking hands for people who seem to have blood in them. Most middle-class german (guys) seem like passive-aggressive nerds, poised on the blocks to start some obscure head game or competition with me. I just nod then look away, let the introducer do the talking, until maybe the other guy calms down and doesn't start pumping about how many aborigines I exploit or what about Iraq, why is your country there. They have no real friendly masculine communication. Failures.

  • THIS is the reality about Germany...please listen to me..

Some time ago I wanted just to die; because I have lived in Germany. There is no point living in Germany. There are ugly and sad people all over the country. Some may hide it better than others. That is the fact.
Shajeee and eugene know what they're talking about. Living in Germany is causing you alot of depression and if not now then after some time. There is no German that is worth knowing him; there are mostly, only sad and depressed people in Germany. That's cause I wanted to commit suicide. Nothing you gain in Germany is worth anything. You could live in Germany for three hundred years and maybe get to know two close friends and generally kind people. After many years I have to sum up that Germany is NO place for good men; you have the life of a psycho; lonesome, controlled by the government, spied at nearly every step you make; women hate men and are generally very selfish, ugly after short time and you as a guy have to give everybody an explanation for what you do and what you don't do.

Germans are anti-life; I mean absolutely anti-life in the negative kind of way;...they begrudge you everything and don't like being free; only talk about freedom but when TSHTF the all go back to mummy government to moan and groan. There is literally NOTHING worthwhile being or even living in Germany; that is the worst mistake you could ever make....living in Germany for a length of time. You mybe get to know some glimpses of poeples' lives but that'S it. Most of them would strangle you with their eyes if they could; the others ignore you as a human as if they are kings on earth. Germans hate life and have to flee from their own country in order to enjoy only the most little pleasures...Germany as a country is pathetic and contributes NOTHING to the world. All the contributed really could have been done by somebody else. Germany is one ugly shithole, because the people make what is worth in a country and German people are one ugly bunch; no soul and no heart. Money oriented to the bone and no humour; sad faces all over the country and Stasi-control to the core....
It is ugly....all of you who read my sentences...stay far far away from Germany..Germany hates, literally HATES it's own population but they don't say it. They lie to their own population....it's a very ugly country. People have no soul and you will feel it in the air.
Stay away from Germany and never ever plan to build your personal life on this soil. This will be pathetic. Every good-hearted foreigner, please stay away from this hating society and ugly shithole.

For those of you who are still staying in Germany at that time....LEAVE, leave as fast as you can.
And for those who plan to be in Germany....don't go there. Treat it like aplace where pocks and the plaque are residing...let it rot...leave it and never try to get to know a German you...you will never get to know a German in your lifetime.
You won't miss a thing in your live by never being in Germany, either short or long term!!!

My regards to all of you.

..there are so many germans in my country that it's impossible NOT to meet one. They can have australian AND german passports so they can visit germany any time they want. But australians with a residents' visa for germany have to surrender their australian nationality if they want to have a german passport. Otherwise, if they leave germany for more than five months, they lose their visa and of course their job, since they have no longer any right to work. That also means they need a visa to visit australia. But austrlians would probably never think about this issue before moving to germany. I guess that's because they expect the world to reasonable and fair like australia. A lot of people have sacrificed a lot for the new country of germany, remember the war? I am sure you think about it every day. No-one expects germans to be grateful, but I would expect you to show some respect, stop feeling sorry for yourself and also fuck off, since this is all none of your business, or, given the attitudes of your government, any real interest to you.

Ok, the only thing I like about Germany is the women, same with Russia, I think they should take a bath once in a while too.

  • Hello dear Greg...German men passive agressive nerds

    Hello Greg
I read this sentence from you:"Most middle-class german (guys) seem like passive-aggressive nerds, poised on the blocks to start some obscure head game or competition with me."

and I really had to laugh....it describes my experiences with young german men to a T. You are completely right. I talked to someone like that just two weeks ago and I can't stand those kind of guys.....whaaa. Really, many of them will start some intellectual stupig and idiotic head game with you as if they are in an intellectual competition with you....I will always walk away from now on....abruptly walk away....f*** off to those kind of Germans.
By the way...I like your experiences
