Brazilian and Portuguese community in Canada

Given that the FIFA world cup will start next summer, I am considering arriving early to Canada to start a PhD in Montreal, I need to know how big is the brazilian and or Portuguese community in that city? Do other cities have larger communities of Portuguese or Brazilian?
